What Play Garba is
Play Garba (also written PlayGarba, at playgarba.in) is a Navratri app for finding a Garba partner. You make a profile, say what you are here for, pick the grounds and nights you plan to dance, and swipe through people going the same way. When two people like each other, they match and can chat and make a plan.
It is live for Navratri 2026 in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Vadodara and Surat, Gujarat. It runs in the phone browser at https://playgarba.in/app/, so there is nothing to download from an app store. It is for adults aged 18 and over.
Dating is optional. Everyone picks one of four intents, from "Just a Garba partner" to "Open to dating", and it shows on their profile.
What Play Garba is not
Play Garba is not a "Garba partner on rent" service. It does not rent, sell or supply partners, there are no Silver, Gold or Platinum partner packages, and nobody is paid to dance with you.
Play Garba does not sell Garba passes or run Garba events. Grounds shown in the app are for planning; confirm passes and timings with the organiser.
If someone asks you for money in exchange for a Garba partner, a date or a pass while using the Play Garba name, it is not Play Garba. Do not pay. Report the profile in the app, or message the official Instagram.
How money works
Joining is free. Every member gets 15 free swipes on their first day, new free swipes every day after, and free chat with every match. Women swipe without a limit. Safety tools are free on every plan.
Optional paid extras (Navratri Pass) add more swipes and more. They are bought inside the app at https://playgarba.in/app/ and paid in Indian rupees at checkout. The only thing you ever pay for is the plan, never a person.
Safety
You sign in with Google and never need to publish a phone number. Anyone who wants a verified tick sends a private selfie that a reviewer compares with their profile photos. There is no GPS tracking, check-ins are optional, and you can block or report anyone from their profile or your chat.
