Day 2 Maa Brahmacharini સફેદ सफेद
Maa Brahmacharini
The second night honours Maa Brahmacharini, the goddess of devotion and penance. She walks barefoot and holds a rosary and a water pot.
What white means
White is said to stand for peace, purity and calm.
What to wear for Garba in white
For women
A white chikankari or Kutchi mirror-work chaniya choli. Bring in colour with a bright dupatta, oxidised jewellery or a colourful potli bag.
For men
An all-white kurta and churidar, or a white kediyu with coloured embroidery at the chest and sleeves.
Colours that go with white
Almost anything. Red, royal blue and multicolour Kutch embroidery stand out best against white.

A Garba tip for night 2
White shows every mark from a dusty ground. Carry wet wipes, and pick footwear you can dance in without scuffing the hem.
